Vyom 2U

An advanced monopropellant green propulsion system developed, and space tested with 1 x 1N thruster for 5U to 24U+ satellite platforms. Vyom 2U utilizes eco-friendly hydrogen peroxide-based fuel. Designed with efficiency in mind, the Vyom 2U system delivers dependable thrust capabilities for orbit insertion, altitude adjustments, and attitude control. It is an exemplary solution for satellite operators seeking sustainable and economically viable propulsion technology.
Use cases: orbit‑phasing, collision avoidance, formation control, de‑orbit.
Vyom-2U, having achieved TRL-8 status, was onboard ISRO’s PSLV-C60 POEM-4 platform, which hosted 23 other payloads to conduct various experiments in the low earth orbit (LEO). With our novel green propellant MS289, a unique blend of hydrogen peroxide and proprietary additives, this green propulsion system provides a safer and cleaner alternative to toxic fuels. Vyom-2U completed 700+ seconds of cumulative firing in orbit, including 360 seconds of continuous burn and more than 20 restarts during its over two-month stay in orbit. Manastu’s green thruster was fired for the first time on December 31, when it tilted the 1,408-kg POEM-4 platform at an angle of 24 degrees using 1 Newton of Thrust.
